How to Set Up Outlook to Send and Receive Email
- Open Microsoft Outlook.

- From the Tools menu, choose E-Mail Accounts.

- Select Add a new e-mail account.
- Click the Next button.

- Select POP3.
- Click the Next button.

- In the Your Name field, type your name.
- In the E-mail Address field, type your entire email address (e.g.,

).
- In the Incoming mail server (POP3) field, type mail.Your-Domain.com.
- In the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) field, type mail.Your-Domain.com.
Note: If you are unable to send email using the outgoing email server as above, you will need to contact your ISP (Internet service provider) and inquire if they block remote port 25 connections. If so you will be required by them to use their server settings. Usually this is the same userid and password used to connect to the internet and the default mail box for your account

- In the Password field, type your email password.
- Click the More Settings button.

- Click on the Outgoing Server tab.
- Check the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
- Click the Settings button.
- Select Log on using.
- In the User Name field, type your entire email address (e.g.,

).
- In the Password field, type your password.
Note: Remember, your password is case sensitive. (Makre sure your CAPS LOCK button is off!) Also if your SMTP settings above are set by your ISP, please consult with their support for proper settings for this section.
- Check the box next to Remember passwordif you wish to save your password.
- Click the OK button.

- Click the Next button.

- Click the Finish button.

- Close Outlook 2002.
