"After a few phone calls, she hired an Asheville firm for the project, Top Floor Studio. All that talk about people designing their own iPhone apps in a jiffy? Turns out it’s not that simple. Mettler employed six Top Floor studio employees for six months to make her app, which lets iPhone and iPad users pick the shape, style and color for every part of a shoe, from heel to toe."

TEDx Asheville event gives speakers a platform, attendees inspiration

In a recent news article, Asheville Citizen-Times mentions Ty Hallock, CEO of TopFloorStudio, in relation to the TEDx event in Asheville:

"...Adrienne Crowther, an Asheville artist, had mentioned the idea to Ty Hallock, the owner of a local Web design company, and it spread from there.

Using his social media connections, Hallock spread the word about the possibility of creating an Asheville version of TED, which is known for putting people on stage for powerful talks about technology, entertainment and design topics."
